YOUR INSPIRATION

I have a passion for colour and design having dabbled in interior design, and to be able to relate it to fashion I found really enjoyable. I chose the shape and colours to reflect where we are now…the colour pallet was selected due to its softness, together with the use of simple curves and lines it gives the bag a beautiful silhouette and elegance. We are using warmer hues in the home replacing darker colours of previous years as a pre forcaster to a more positive outlook. Why not in accessories too!!!

DETAILS & DIMENSIONS

The design moves away from the geometrics of recent collections and uses simple curves and block colours to emphasis the bag shape. Its dimensions are 36L x 32H x 12D, with twin rolled leather handles extending 22cm. Two large button panels on face of bag (magnetic rear fastening) that when opened expose two slip pockets. On the rear the front patterning is mimicked in its basic form, with a large zip pocket. Attached to the zip closure a '20th birthday' accent. Internally there is accommodation for a zip pocket and phone pocket. Zip closure/opening.

MATERIALS & HARDWARE

The bag is constructed of soft calf leather. Colour pallet used is based on that of Dulux's 2015 colour 'Copper Blush' and contrasting colours (refer attached image). In this example I have paired it with copper plated hardware (buttons, zip closures, strap connectors) to bring out the real splendour of the blush colour and add a touch of elegance. Alternatively the colour could also be paired with wooden buttons to bring it back to a casual earthiness. Mimco signature lining is used internally and it comes in a copper metallic dust bag to complete it.
