YOUR INSPIRATION

The Mimco Aztec Button Bag was inspired by the symbols used by ethnic groups from central Mexico in the 14th to 16th century. Symbols were used as a form of communication and storytelling; the use of triangles was predominate. In previous years, the Aztec pattern has become popular at music festivals around the world including Coachella and Splendour in the Grass. For this reason I decided to use it as my base concept with the addition of leather tassels emphasising a modern twist. The Aztec Button Bag incorporates ancient history and modern day within one simple, yet stylish bag.
